Details Itinerary : 1-Day Tour from Marrakech to Imlil and Atlas Mountains
Departure from Marrakech at 9:00 a.m., traveling by Tahnaouet (local market on Tuesdays), Valley Ghighaya, Moulay Brahim gorges, Asni (market on Saturdays), and terraced fields of vegetables, fruit trees, walnuts, and cherries into the high Atlas Mountains.
If possible, schedule this trip for a Saturday. During the stopover in Asni village, your driver will show you around the weekly market and navigate the crowd of local berbers who come from all the surrounding villages to trade goods and animals and purchase fresh meat, fruits, and vegetables for their homes.
After arriving in the town of Imlil, you may take a mountain guide’s guided walking tour or ride mules to the high village of Aroumd, where you can enjoy lunch on a lovely terrace overlooking North Africa’s tallest peaks.
You are welcome to have a little stroll after lunch before we go back to Marrakech.
